THERE WILL BE A SPECIAL CALLED MEETING OF THE MID-EAST COMMISSION BOARD OF DIRECTORS ON THURSDAY, DECEMBER 4, 2025 AT 10:30 AM IN THE MID-EAST CONFERENCE ROOM LOCATED AT 1502 NORTH MARTKET STREET, SUITE A, WASHINGTON NC. THE PURPOSE OF THIS MEETING IS TO APPROVE AN AMENDMENT TO THE 2024/2025 AUDIT CONTRACT FROM THOMPSON, PRICE, SCOTT, & ADAMS AUDITING FIRM.

The next regularly scheduled Mid-East Commission Board of Directors meeting will be held Thursday, January 15, 2026, 6:30 pm at the NC TeleCenter, 415 East Boulevard, Williamston, NC.

WHO WE ARE

The Mid-East Commission was created by the State of North Carolina in May of 1967 as a Regional Council of Governments serving the local governments and residents of Region “Q”, which is comprised of Beaufort, Bertie, Hertford, Martin and Pitt Counties, as well as their municipalities.

People working together to enhance the ability of local governments to successfully improve the quality of life for area citizens. Leadership in technical assistance, planning, program management and development, and public-private partnerships.

OUR CEDS VISION STATEMENT

The 2025 Mid-East Economic Development District Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) will help build a regional competitive advantage and leverage the marketplace by establishing and maintaining a robust regional infrastructure, thereby creating revitalized and vibrant communities which will develop healthy and innovative people.
